Most chiropractors are trained in a number of different chiropractic techniques in order to help a wide range of patients. Most people associate chiropractic adjustments with manual spinal manipulations but there are also more gentle techniques that chiropractors can use to adjust the spine and other joints of the body. The activator chiropractic technique is what we call a low force adjustment used by chiropractors to treat back and neck pain, headaches and migraines.
The activator is a small hand held instrument which is used to deliver an impulse force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted joint. This low force chiropractic adjusting technique can be suitable for a variety of people and offers an alternative to more manual high force chiropractic adjustments.
